Stubborn Belly Fat…
I Just Want to Light a Match and Burn Fat Off!
Stop! Put down that lit match! Before you set your belly fat ablaze, I have a burning question
for you. One you must ask and answer for yourself:
“Am I overweight because I eat too much?” Is that the reason, the underlying cause? Or
could there be other, more sinister causes?
My opinion:
Except in rare cases I don’t believe that anyone is overweight, or even obese, for the sole
reason that they consume too much food, or too many calories.
Yes, there are those people who can’t stop eating, who are gluttonous. But those people
probably are not going to be helped much, even by licensed health and nutrition practitioners.
They are in need of huge emotional support, and perhaps psychological counseling.
It is true, you may be able to lose weight by reducing caloric intake, or food intake, or both,
and that’s usually a good thing… for some highly motivated individuals. Are you highly
motivated?
Could you talk yourself into being highly motivated?
A thought: Our parents and grandparents, for the most part, did not need to be highly
motivated in this way. There were some overweight folks, but not so many as today. Why is
that do you suppose?
They just went along living their lives without having to deal with any such problems. They
didn’t have to think about it.
Isn’t that what we all want? To live our lives without worrying over our weight or physical
conditioning, because our lifestyle automatically takes care of it?
What if we could adopt that kind of lifestyle, not all at once, but bit by bit until we, too, didn’t
have to think about it anymore?
Now, there’s a real burning question!
